LRM article with Venom director Ruben Fleischer

Venom Director Quits Son of Jekyll Project — December 2018

Ruben Fleischer says he’s scratching his plural itch (our paraphrase) with the Venom movies and no longer needs to work on a BBC miniseries Jekyll, which would pertain to some descendent of the original fictional doctor who unleashed his inner madman via a potion.

LRM (Latino Review Media) writer Joseph Jammer Medina has an exclusive interview with the director, and they say the Jekyll project is probably dead.  At the very least it pushes the Jekyll project out much farther.

Venom& is a Marvel “Spider-Verse” character where a reporter (Eddie of Venom) is infected with an alien parasite (the title character Venom). They exhibit a high level of co-consciousness, internal communication, and at times collaborate with each other, blending front, splitting the body, or allowing each other to take front through a continual revolving door.

The film Venom is rated PG-13 and there’s another interview at LRM regarding the dark humorous film here.

Neither article requires any content warnings, and they do not spoil their respective works of fiction.
