Gollum& speaks on Brexit, Parody — December 2018
In an original rendition of the Gollum/Sméagol duet, voice actor Andy Serkis created a new video parodying Theresa May as being of two minds — quite literally — on Brexit. The video may be disturbing as it features Gollum&’s nasty vs. nice selves-talk similar to the more recent Hobbit films.
The YouTube video is reported on by the Irish Post, where writer Jack Beresford mentions Gollum& as having “split/multiple personality disorder” in a classic misuse of terminology. Aside from this, there are no significant content warnings for the article.
The parody video is brief and and as political commentary it’s pro People’s Vote. The article is neutral except that by featuring the video, it does seem to promote a People’s Vote.
