Homeless Man Sentenced in Plural’s Death — January 2019
As covered in OregonLive (Oregonian Media Group, USA), in July 2018, 29-year old homeless plural Dallas& Boyd died at the hands of homeless man Terry Hickman in a fight regarding drugs. Hickman, who acted while under the influence, pled guilty to charges of manslaughter and assault and was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
Dallas& is described by their sister as using drugs to suppress alters, but was considering treatment. Dallas& also had a boyfriend who had entered treatment and wanted to support their recovery when they were ready.
Content warning: drugs, homelessness, graphic details and violence described. No focus on plurality beyond what is mentioned above, the article uses “multiple personality disorder” to describe it, and Dallas& was also diagnosed with schizophrenia.
